Music Class

I love teaching children, and also happen to love music, weather it be listening, performing, composing, the list goes on and on and on.  So, I could not dream for a better way to spend my time than to teach children music, and many other thing along the way.  When I help a child find their singing voice for the first time, to me it is like the equivalent of inventing fire... it is huge.  I help my students find this voice, and be comfortable in it, while sharing with their friends and teachers.  The human voice is a powerful tool, that every child deserves to discover.

I grew up just outside of Green Bay in the village of Ashwaubenon (GO PACK GO!), with two older sisters (each 3 years apart). In 2009 I graduated with a Bachelors in Music Education from the University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire.  I hold a Wisconsin teaching license for K-12 general and vocal music education.   I taught for 6 years at Janssen Elementary before coming over to Sunrise.

 Mrs. Meehl and I have two wonderful kiddos that fill our life with joy and laughter :) When I have a free second, I enjoy discovering new bands and artists, and performing around the valley. I also love being active, playing volleyball, tennis, soccer, and snowboarding in the cold months!
